ECM IGN on the fuse box

This 10 AMP fuse usually blows once a month. Its the 3rd time this has happened now. When it blows, the Service Engine Light stays on. When I put a new fuse back in, it turns off. And whats weird is that my car still runs fine without this fuse? So my question is that what exactly does this fuse function for? Im just curious? The hole where the fuse comes from reads "ECM IGN".
