Vats P.i.ta.

hey guys whats up, i have a 1991 Camaro Z28 with VATS f-ing up. i replaced the vats ignition lock cylinder today because one of the wires was broken. I went to start her up...and NOTHING again! W.T.F.? the security light stays on and i have no crank. the only idea i have is to go back to the gm dealer and have them double check the resistor chip in the key. other than that im out of ideas. the battery has been disconnected so i dont think the vats module is in time-out mode, although i could be wrong. any input will be apreciated, thanks in advance.

When you got the new lock cyl assy you get a new key normally. Unless the key has the same code as the old one the vats is looking for the old key code. Simplest thing is to find the old key code and get a new blank cut with the old resistance code with the cut from the new key.
