I am looking to get some nice spark plug wires that look good and perform great. What type of wires are the better ones. I have a TPI system v8 350. I am willing to up grade the distributor too.

 

What is the best wiring set up too. Is there one that would help benfit my car when it comes to power

 

Personally I like the GM Packard Electric wires, you can get ones with a chevy logo through GM performance parts. Accel wires look pretty sharp, just priced some. Precut set for a 350 run about $60 retail. The Accel replacement coil if it's a remote one is $49 and generates about 60-68kv as opposed to the stock 40kv unit. As far as the dist I would leave it alone, if you want color and a little better construction get the Accel cap and rotor. Unless you are into hard core racing spending big bucks for a complete ignition system won't get much back if anything in performance. Ac Delco platinum, or thier new Iridium tip ones are a worthwile investment.

I'm not one to buy into exotic plug wires. I had the do-it-yourself MSD wires on the car at first, and after I managed to ruin a couple adjustable ends, I pitched them for $18 Parts America wires. Car ran the same. Later on I put a set of pre-made MSD wires on the car just because I wanted the red wires. Car still runs the same. $100 wires to $18 wires and back to $100 wires. No differences.

 

I have been running the Taylor blue wires for 5years and I think they are great. Good heat resistance to if you are considering headers in the future.
