the instrument cluster in my '90 iroc died on the way home yesterday.....nuffin works, not even the odometer, the tach, the speedo, temp, volt meter, nuffin. i was traveling at about 80 on some of theses "great" interstate hiways here in ms when i hit a swag in the road, the cruise was set, and i think the rear tires got a lil airborn. the "swag" wasnt a harsh/rough/shocking kinda bump just moderate. anyway everything on the cluster died. any ideas, i havent had the chance to check it out yet hope some of you experts could lead me in the right direction! thanks in advance!

 

my cluster quit working after a speedo cable swap. turns out it wasn't seated completely. make sure its seated good in the back where the eclectrical contacts are. hope this helps.

 

Check the fuses, maybe?

 

Check fuses, and take it out if that dont work and inspect the back side of it, make sure there are no broken connections in the green film board thing(dont know actuall term ) Make sure its got good connections into the two plugs comming from the dash that plug into the back of it.

 

That circuit thing is called a printed circuit dash overlay if you happen to need one...

 

sorry ive been busy and havent had time to post up. it was the 10 amp fuse that blew, i replaced it and havent had anymore problems, just dont know why it blew in the first palce? thanks to all that gave me advice!
