To all you people that want to bypass your VATS.........

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!

Some a-holes tried to steal my '88 GTA the other night, and luckily they were unsuccessful. I went to my car this morning to take it down to the local high school and park it there with a for sale sign, since I'm trying to get rid of it. Anyway, I noticed my door was "half closed" and was unlocked. When I got in, there were torn pieces of my steering column shroud on the floor, and my battery was dead because the would-be thieves left the car in "run". They had ripped apart the shroud on the left side of the column and broke the linkage from the ignition cylinder that attaches to the rod that works the ignition switch at the bottom of the column. They then tried to start it by pulling that rod back and probably would have got away had it not been for the VATS system. Luckily, the only thing on these guys minds was stealing my car. They didn't rip apart my leather interior or take my stereo or my CD changer. One of the morons had a nice CD walkman, because it was left in my car. Nevertheless I was real friggin mad because this is just more time I have to waste. I hate f(cking thieves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sad part is vats is so easy to bypass its not even funny. at least these guys that tried ripping your car off were too stupid for that. and you got a free cd player lol.

did you file a police report? get the prints off the car and have them run those prints against all the local punks at that highschool, i guarrentee it was one of them.

Another reason why I keep the VATS is because my insurance company gives me a rebate for having an Anti-theft device.
