I've been fixing 1 1/2 months my -85 Camaro berlinettaīs engine and 2 days ago I finally succeeded. But 5 minutes ago I found out that windshield wipers donīt stop at all. I opened the motor and found out that green plastic thing thatīs located to cover of motor and rotates together with gearwheel was shattered to 4 pieces. Itīs now too late to try find new one, so Iīll try to glue pieces together and I hope it will last during vehincle inspection tomorrow. Main problem is that I donīt know how that green thing should be positioned compared to metal pin in gear wheel. Does anyone can help me? (Sorry for my english, Iīm from Finland).
