accessory wiring
accessory wiring
I'm about to do a 4th gen console swap in my IROC and I want to wire up the new cig lighter and the additional socket on there that's for radar detectors, cell phone chargers, etc.. The most auto-electrical stuff I've done is install a CD player. What would be the proceedure for this? I need whatever connector for the lighter and the wires, but would I just plug it into the fuse panel and that's that, or is it more complicated?
Thanks in advance.

the wiring for the cigette lighter should be the same as 3rd gen cig lighter, just diff connector maybe, but should be 2 wires ground and positive, just match em up
I want to leave the original cig lighter functional b/c I don't want to take apart the dash to get to it. I'm just trying to figure out what kind of connector to use and where I should get power from. Thanks

Ya. You can either get the power from the cd player power wire, or the original one. Theres also 4 adapter lighters but they aint attached to the dash...Hope you got some help.
