I have factory wires and hook up going to rear hatch for the defroster but at the dash, where the switch goes..theres nothing to plug the switch into, that i bought..once i removed the cover and found no electrical hookup..my question is: Is there a plug for this switch behind the dash somewhere or not????..tell me something good or say, i bought the switch for nothing?

 

It has probably fallen down behind the dash. Try reaching up under the dash to see if you can feel it.
