Does anyone have a blowout picture of how the speedo is put together? Mine came in 10 pieces and am trying to figure out how to put it together. This if for a camaro 86 but they are the same up to 89. I went to a 145mph unit but the guy sending it to me dropped it and the needle spring broke. Since there was nothing holding it together all the pieces fell apart and now I have a jigsaw puzzle. Not too many parts but it is missing screws also. A diagram would help me put it together.

Thanks for the picture but not really what I was after. I kind of have everything sorted out from my last post on this. I basically need to get the spring inside the speedo. Mine is broken no wonder as they are very fragile.

 

If the speedo itself is in pieces you can throw it in the trash. They are a fairly delicate instrument (when disassembled) and require the correct pieces in order for them to work properly (ie the spring has to be from the right speedo, like 85 mph, or 140 mph etc.)

 

has anyone here done the DIY White Face guage idea in the Tech Page?

I wanna try it, but I wanna go to the junkyard and get a cluster just like mine so if i mess up oh that sucks, no oh crap, no speedo, lol
