The other day while driving the lights went dima and eventually the car died. I assumed alternator and replaced it alongside the road. Whe I went to jump start it, it ran for about a minute then died once the cables were removed. I thought maybe the battery was just too far drained so I put in another fully charged one and it ran long enough to get me home. I took the car over to autozone and they checked it for me--results said no output from alt while in the car but when they checked it inside, it did just fine. I'm no electronics wiz so looking at the wiring diagram confuses me--any help is appreciated as right now there is no power from the alternator.
