I installed a T-5 in a camaro that originally cam witha 700r4 so now i have no reverse lites. My question is-is there anyway to wire in a manuel switch to turn them on? like a toggle switch or something? so i could just turn it on instead of rycing out the car with a backup wide load coming threw beeper.

 

It would be just as easy to just wire the reverse switch in the transmission.

 

just take the wires that did run to your shifter in the automatic and run them down to the reverse switch on the transmission. Did you hook up the neutral safety switch?

I dont have a neutral safety switch. The only thing i have on my harness is the Auto trans switch. which i have locked in the park position so i can start it and drive it. the interior harness is designed for the 700r4 trans as is the computer. the only other connection on my trans is a flat 2pin female connector with a brass like nut against the trans body. and the harness for the engine is also for the AT.
