Electronic Accesories, Improvement?

It seems like with every little switch or button you have to hit the damn thing 10 times to get it to work. The hatch release button you have to hit many times before the hatch releases. The power door lock you must also hit many times before it fully locks or unlocks. It there any way that you can fix or beef up the electronics so that you only have to hit the button once?
