windshield wiper motor

Help! my windshield wipers just quit working, and it was raining cats and dogs too! I got a new motor and hooked it up, but it didn't work either. I can't even get the washer to squirt! Can anyone give me some ideas? I'm hoping that it's not the the controller on the steering column! If it is, I'll need some info on how to replace it.

thanks!

It might be the switch in the turning signal lever. Mine went out and I had to replace the whole lever.

switch problems

How hard was it to replace? I looked at a junk yard for one and saw that the switch has a wiring bundle , about 7 wires, running from the switch into the column. Where does this terminate at?
