Turn signal ? after tightening steering column.

Ok guys, I tightened up my column like in the tech article, and when I put everything back together, I pinched the wire that goes to the turn signal lever in the bracket that holds the steering column up. Needless to say it was blowing my gauges fuse, well I got the wires outta there and now am getting a new turn signal lever. I have rear turn signals, but not fronts now, and my indicator for the turn signals on the dash doesn't blinker or come on either. The highbeam indicator works, just not the signals. What is the cause of this? Will the new signal lever fix this?

Sounds like you damaged some wires when you over tightened. Most likely the ones for your front signals. Go in and inspec the wires closely. Also check your connection on the column. The long connector right about knee level. Those can be connected backwards. make sure it is correct.
