Major Wiring Problems
Converted my GF 91 3.1 V6 SD to a 89 350 TPI MAF. First problem I find is that there is no connector to attach the sensor to the sensor right under the brake fluid container. Second of all. When I plug the two clear connectors to the two main black ones under the dash the bigger of the two is fine but as soon as i plug in the smaller one the ACC fuse blows. I also can get my scanner to read the MAF computer through the dia port. Also cant ground it out so the fans kick on. I'm at a lost .

2 into the back of the ecm and two black ones which connect into 2 clear connectors under the dash. When the little one (1/4 shorter) of the 2 black ones to the clear ones are pluged in the acc fuse flows and stuff.

1989 has 2 connectors on the computer. 1990 started using 3 connectors. I converted the wiring from an '89 to that of a '90-'92. If your trying to hookup an '89 motor to your '91 computer then your in for a big surprize. Your going to have to delete a few things and add a few things.

your going to need a different wiring harness or help with the one you have. The clear harness you refer to is just a juntion. Who told you the sensors would hookup to your existing computer? You have a bunch of work ahead of you. Howel electronics does specialty wiring for all cars. They have adds in most chevy magazines in the back of the mag. or painless wiring sells a harness for about $200. or a little less.
