I have both the headlight repair kits (TDS 207280 and TDS 209280) and used nylon gears. 99.9% of the time you won't need the gear. You'll find that just the bushings that will need to be replaced. However IF you find you need the gear I have a few good used gears available for $12 ea. I just don't show them on my web site. Just e-mail me that you need one when you place your order online and I'll add it to your order.

Oh, by the way, just to give you a feel for how often a new gear is needed to repair these 1987-92 headlight actuation units. I've sold enough of my headlight repair kits to repair several hundred headlights. NOT ONE of those that purchased a kit e-mailed or phoned me saying that they needed a gear. This doesn't mean I haven't sold any, because indeed I have. They were just sold to customers that must have been former Boy Scouts and bought them "just in case they needed it". I have heard back from many of them saying , "Lon you were right, I didn't need it after all".

I'll vouch for the repair kit. I got the delux kit and my head lights happily go up and down now without an issue.

When I took them apart I found almost nothing but shavings in both, even though one head light still worked decently. Watch out when you do the passenger side motor, that one is a pain in the ****!

I'll vouch too.

I bought two kits a while back, and used just one since the other had not let go yet. The other kit went in yesterday, and except for a slow motor on that side (need to take a look at the electricals) the install was a success. I can't say enough good about the service or the instructions.

Peace,

K
