Brake Lights Switch

I was thinking of putting a group of switches where my ash tray is now, a common thing, but i wanted one to turn off my brakes when i hit the pedal for obvious reasons. How would i do that and would the car still pass inspection? It still has brake lights right so as long as i make sure the switch is on when i get the car inspected then i should be fine, right?

If anyone has any advice, expecially about how to go about doing this, please let me know.

very simple mod, just find the 2 wire that come off your brake light switch, cut one of them, and wire a simple off/on switch in

Would this be a problem with inspection though?

leave them on and dont tell them about the switch... it'll work like stock and you wont have a problem.
