I recently had a carb fire in my 350 and burned all the wired right behind the distributor going to the distributor and alternator etc. and wondering isntead of buying a wiring harness from the junkyard could i buy the same size wire and just splice them together....theres about 6 of them, and what size are these wirers, look alittle bigger than radio wires????

 

I wouldn't "splice" them, I'd run all new wires ,14 or 16 ga.
