fog lamp brightness?

How noticeable are your fog lamps? I just put in a 100 watt fog bulb... and when I turn it on I can *hardly* tell its on... What I want to know is can our lights be as bright as a new cars' fog lamps, that seem like friggin bright headlamps to me, or should I find some aftermarket fog lamp assembly. My passenger side is broken and I am debating replacing it with a stock one that costs $55....

thanks,
Steven

i don't think the factory fog light bulbs were 100watts.....you can burn out the wiring harness or cause an electrical fire if you use too high of a wattage compared to factory.

are the 100watt bulbs that much brighter than the 55watt bulbs? because if not, then there is no point in risking the wiring. Even the 100 watt bulbs seem pretty crummy. I like the bulbs in my brother's f150... like spotlights.
