Fried ECM????
I am new to this group, and hoping someone can assist in finding a problem with a new engine swap wiring problem. I have swapped a 1995 LT1 into an 1974 Datsun, using a wiring harness purchased from "Dr. K". The harness is really good, but I cannot get the motor to start. On turning the ignition key, the fuel pump (in tank model) comes on and pressures up the fuel rail to 47psi, but the engine won't fire. I know I have spark, because if I pour a little gas into the TB, the motor will run for a few seconds. The only error code that I get with EFIlive or datamaster is Low Coolant tempertature (-40). I have checked all the fuses, and the temp sender (resistance changes when heat is applied). My theory is that the injectors are not firing, but I can't figure out why not. Is my ECM fried, or is there some other problem I have not thought about.
Thanks in advance, Jay

Okay, I might as well get it out of the way now... I know NOTHING about the LT1. There, I said it.
Now, on to your problem... I know that on my V6, there are two sets of injector harness connectors, one four-wire in the front, and one in back that is hard to get at. I made a mistake once and didn't connect the one in back, and I got no injector pulses. Also, since the CTS is piggybacked onto the injector harness, that would explain the low CTS temp code you keep getting.
Just my $.02, since I know NOTHING about the LT1 system...

Stuck Injectors
Well, I may have found the problem. After checking the spark (again), putting fuel in the TB, and seeing it run for a few seconds, checking the fuel pressure at the fuel rail (again), adding a ground strap to the PCM, checking the resistance of the injectors (12 Ohms), checking that 12 V in present on the positive side of the injector connectors, and that a test light flashes when connected to the negative side of the injector connectors, I pulled the fuel rail and injectors.
Seems the pintles in the injectors are glued shut from old gasoline (motor has been setting for about 2 years).
Sending the injectors to Dr. K's for reman.
Thanks for the reply's. Will keep you informed.
