Fog light troubles

Hey guys, I just got some factory fog lights off of a 91Z and they came with the plugins in the back of them. They have a little bit of wiring on both plugins and then they have been cut. How would I go about hooking these up? There are two wires coming off each of the plugins. Is one just a power source and the other a ground? What would probably be the easiest way to wire them up? Thanks in advance! Eric

Yea, ones power, ones a ground. On my 85 TA purple is power. I''m not sure if the color is the same on yours though.

Cool man thanks! So can I just splice the power into the driving light wires so when I turn on my lights the fogs come on? What would be a good way to hook these up?

You could do that. But the best thing to do is to put it to factory original wiring. Running the fogs directly of the parking lights could possibly overload the circuit.

How would I go about that? Is it possible to run it to another circuit so it doesn't overload it?

Go buy a cheap fog light kit and just dont use the lights included in the kit. Because the factory and aftermarket kits have a separate switch, inline fuse, relay, and 20 ft of wires etc. Install as the instructions say and you'll be cool.I went out and bought a kit just for the lights because both of mine were broken

The cheapest way is to buy one relay and one switch and some wire.

Here in VA, when the car is inspected and has fog lights, aftermarket or stock, they need to turn off when the hi-beams are activated. If they do not turn off, then you fail inspection.
