LCD Panel meter selection AHH HELP!
LCD Panel meter selection AHH HELP!
Okay, instead of forking out 130 dollars for the Edelbrock Air/Fuel mixture gauge setup, I built my own with a single wire o2 sensor and welded the bung on exhaust, right after headers and engine compartment.
Here is my challenge: Instead of having a portable digital voltmeter (dvm) to check it while tuning the carb, or mounting an old analog meter box inside the car, I want to run a small digital LCD panel for the voltmeter. I am no electrical engineer and am pretty lost when it comes to building your own circuits on the micro or mini scale. All of the panel meters I have found are classed at 200 mv full range precision, and the my range for measuring is 1100mv-100mv, so 200 mv is rather course for me.
I know that there has to be something out there a bit more precision because my DVM is finer than that. I would pull the LCD out of my DVM and buy another one, however, it is not like you just have two wires back there to work with (+,-), more like 10 or 20! lol
Any help out there for this dullard?
