So when I go to turn off my windshield wipers they won't shut off. The only way they shut off is if I turn the car off, while the wiper switch is in the off position. When I turn the car back on they shut off going back to the off position. How on earth do you fix something that strange?

haha....reminds me of when my truck used to do that for a while. i would clean the ground terminal on the wiper motor and you should be back in business....it worked for me.

 

Does the intermittant mode work?

The reason I ask is that if the intermittant relay(not sure if this is a relay on your car.... the wiring diagrams in the tech articles section show a solid state control module, but both the haynes manual, and my car have relays???) If the relay is jamming in the on position then that could force the wipers to stay on permanently.

Just wanted to say thanks for the help I think the intermitent was bad so I replaced the panel cover, and it works firne now.
