vehicle speed sensor
My 700r4 to t-5 swap went well, execpt (we all have excepts!) the vss. The t-5 tranny does not have the same vss connectors as the 700r4. does anyone know where the vss connector was on the 85 t-5 tranny's, for t-5 that i put in was a 90and it had an electronic speedo and it was a part of that. I am in the process of buying a 85 cable speedo input for the 90 t-5(lol dont know if i want to, my girl yells when i speed!) and do not see a connector for the vss so the ? is where does my vss go?!!
any help would be appreciated

the vss is on the the back of the speedo itself in the 85. i have an 86 which is pretty much identical.. i need the electronic vss as i am upgraded to 4th gen interior... care to trade out the cable drive on the tranny for the vss on the tranny?

ok from what i have done on mine and looking true diagrams... the vss on the 90 tranny is actually on the tailshaft itself. the vss on the 85 if it is the original gauges is on the cluster. you would need the cable speedo drive that goes into the tranny so it will turn your speedo which in turn goes to the vss to give signal back to the ecm, tach, and cruise. you should be able to find on in a salvage yard as long as it is from a pre 90 t-5 tranny in a camaro. like i said before i do have one and need the electric one from the tranny like yours. any questions let me know
