An old topic from a few weeks ago, unresolved. Here's the original. https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=220144
I've found & replaced other bad bulbs, problem persisted. The right turn signal would typically work when I first drove the car, the most consistent pattern I noted was it would quit when both the turn signal & brake were on at the same time. Then the stop light/hazzard fuse would blow.
I traced down all the wires from under the dash to the rear, and found the stop light & right turn signal wires were a little mangled at the left/rear corner, right after the pass-through. I repaired them, didn't change anything. I couldn't see where they might have been shorting, anyway.
This past weekend, I got under the dash again, attempted to check for ground paths, didn't really find anything except the hazzard flasher was shot. I replaced both flashers, and put a 20 amp breaker in place of the stop light fuse.
It seems to be working now. I don't know if I "fixed" something by moving all the wire bundles under the dash, or if the flasher replacements fixed it.
Time will tell, I guess.
