orange wire(s) to ALDL

orange wire(s) to ALDL
question on the ALDL port... there are two orange wires going to the plug, wich one is the A8 pin on the ECM connector? waht is the other orange wire for?

Those are both serial data links going to pin "A8" on the ECM. One of the wires goes to pin "E" on the ALDL and the other one goes to pin "M" on the ALDL. They are spliced together in the wire harness and serve the same purpose.
