I recently replaced the ash tray in rear part of the console with a light (looks fabulous and stock). It came out of the ceiling of a van and is one of those that you press on the lense in the direction you want it to shine and it goes on. I have it currently wired into my courtesy lamps, but I need it wired to come on anytime. Nearest hot? how to? The car is an 88 vert. thanks

 

the closest hot wire would be the wire going into your console cubby hole light. I believe its orange.
