No. 1987-88 Fiero's used the same motor as yours. If the motor runs fine, but the actuator is just acting erratic or failing to raise or lower the headlights, then the OEM gel inserts (aka bushings) are bad. There are 3 bushings inside the large nylon gear. I can guarantee you'll open it up and discover a spoonfull of chunks. It is a simple repair using the headlight repair kit I sell. Look over the instructions that I include with the kit and you'll understand what is wrong and how to repair it.

1984-86 Fiero = 1982-86 Firebird. 1987-88 Fiero = 1987-92 Firebird. But if your "motor" is spinning it isn't bad. The bushings have cracked and broken. These bushings transfer the force from the large nylon gear to the 3-lobe hub which is on the shaft that raises and lower the headlight. It is a lot easier to repair your headlight actuator than to search for another used one (only to discover it too has bad bushings in the gear). Did you read the instructions yet?

ive read some of your other posts and i do plan on useing your product, but the motor im talking about replaceing is trashed, it was taken apart by some half wit that clamed he knew what he was doing (hes also the mech, that werked on the car before i bought it, that explanes why it hasnt ran in quite some time)
not only was it the only one working at the time but when he put it back together he for some reason added another ground to the motor and it has never worked again. so rather then try to fix his mistakes i wanna start from scratch on that one motor at least, rebuild both and call it a day..
