Trouble code 24 after auto -> T5 swap
For some reason Im getting code 24 from my car now that I completed my 700R4 ->T5 swap. Does anyone know what this code means? I looked it up and its the VSS sensor but I dont have a VSS on my car.
It seems like this code is making my car idle high. When I let off the gas to shift, the rpms do not drop down very fast.
Do I need a computer from a manual tranny car?
or how would I fix this?

It is the Vehicle Speed Sensor circuit (VSS) that is on cars with automatic transmissions. Some one else here that has done this swap before could give you a better answer about the computer. You might be able to get by with just getting a new chip.

not sure about the code but you probably have to readjust the minimum idle air, i had to do it to mine after the swap, when I unplugged the iac the rpms went to 1500 and I had just adjusted it before i put the 5 speed in. it was doing the same thing as yours (not dropping much between shifts and it idled crappy.

im not familiar with the v-6 but there may be a technical article on this site for it. the iac is the idle air control.

Is your dash Speedo working? What year is your car? I think some Auto cars had a VSS built onto the back of the dash Speedo.
