SES light giving me problems

My SES light on my 1987 GTA L98 has been giving me problems lately. It's currently staying off - but just as often it comes on with the car and stays on. Going over bumps, it flickers off and on. Almost like something is shorting out.

I've pulled the codes and only code 12 comes up. Is there anything you guys can recommend checking before I use some electrical tape to cover the stupid light?

check your knock sensor wire as well as the temp sensor wires, they get real close to the manifolds. Prime area to melt insulation and short out.

good luck
