Cigarette Lighter
Hey all,
I just found my ashtray the other night. I like how they stealthed it under a panel. Anywho...I tried plugging in my air ionizer and it never worked. I tested the plug and there is no voltage coming from it. I figured the car had to be running in order for the cig lighter to be operational...so I fired up the car and no change in state.
I was wondering...where is the fuse box in these cars and second is there a fuse that is intended just for the cig lighter?
If so is it labeled.
if no, where abouts is it in the fuse box.
thanks

fuse box is a little to the left of your steering column under the dash. Just look under there & you'll see it. I think that the fuse tied in with the cigg lighter is the ACC fuse. Our third gens have problems with the cigg lighter not working & shorting out. Do a search on it. If you have any more questions just let me know.

oh this is a common problem. Well maybe I should just forget about running the factory 12V accessory plug and make my own. that might be a better solution. That way I can condition the power to be constant 12V instead of having it fluctuate with the alternator and other components.
