tps voltages

hi
I set my tps votage today koeo and koer. The readings were taken with the meter connected to the tps sensor wire but when i placed the ground probe of the meter to battery ground (at battery) the reading increased by .12v. Is there a problem with this circuit?.
thanks

You normally set the TPS with "KEY ON ENGINE OFF". The voltage range is .46 - .62 volts. This measured between pin "A" & pin "B" of the TPS harness with pin "A" (TOP)as ground and pin "B"(CENTER) as power. Pin "C" BOTTOM) is the ECM signal wire. There is normally a .02 volt increase in the reading with the engine running at idle.

Should not be a problem.
