Front Lights
When I got my 1982 Firebird it had two spot lights that someone fitted inside the grill on the front bumper. They were in bad shape so I was going to replace them. There are two wires coming from the wiring loom that passes in front of the radiator bracket to power these lights. There is twelve volts on them when the lights are turned on. This made me think that originally there must have been lights here and they got broken and someone replaced them. But when I think about it why would there be lights here. Could someone tell me if these early Firebirds had lights inside the grill. If not what are these wires for. They are not wires some put in.
Below is a picture of the front bumper.
Any help appreciated

Early firebirds (82-84) did not have driving/fog lamps. Most likely someone wanted them though and modified and/or put them behind the grilles.
