MSD Retard with Pro Billet Distributor

MSD Retard with Pro Billet Distributor
I can't figure out how to hook the two up. Here is my setup:
MSD Pro Billet Ready to Run Distributor
MSD 6A Ignition
MSD Blaster 2 Coil
MSD 8982 retard with start retard function
My problem is figuring out how to hook up the trigger input wire with the pro billet distributor. Here is a link to the instruction manual:

It says i can either hook the white wire to a points or amplifier trigger wire, or I can hook the purple and violet pair up to the magnetic pickup on the distributor or crank trigger. I dont think my distributor has either of these, just a red, orange and black wire (power, coil and ground) harness.
Anyone shed any light to the situation?
