Driverside headlight problem

I've been having a headlight problem for a while now. Every since I grounded out an aftermarket fog light, and melted some of the wires together (the section near the brake booster) my driverside headlight won't come up except manually. If I manually bring it up, it goes goes down when I turn it off. The passenger side headlight works perfect. Tomorrow I'm going to try and listen for the motor, but I'm almost positive it's not the gears or bearings. I was talkin to this guy who had a 87 TA, and he said he replaced a module on the firewall and that fixed his headlights. Problem is, he said it was a $250 dollar piece from GM. This is an 89 car, and I need to know where to check for relays. Anybody had this problem on this headlight style?

I'm betting this is where the problem lies.
Option 1) dig into the existing harness and repair it;
Option 2) Replace that part of the harness from the firewall forward. One from an 87 through 89 (or 90) Firebird should fit exactly.

I'd also say that's your problem. And that relay is the only one for '87s and later. It can be fussy too, lol. Just jiggling the connectors plugged into it can solve a problem sometimes. So if you fried some wires to it or from it, that's gotta be your problem. Your relay is probably fine. Fix your wires.
