Wiper problem on 83 Z-28.
I can't seem to get any power to the connectors no matter what I do. I have checked continuity on all of the wiring. I have taken the steering wheel off and checked the wiring to the switch. The fuse is fine. What is the deal here? I don't even know how I'll ever get the stuff back into the steering column. HELP!

On an 82-83, power is fed into the motor first, then it is grounded out through the switch in the various speed positions. 84-up have power fed to the switch first, then out to the motor.

There still is no power getting to the windshield wiper connectors. I have a tested with a multimeter and a test light. Fuse is fine. All wires have continuity. What gives?
I understand the ground through the switch but to test the connectors I can ground it anywhere and should come up with some voltage. I have also taken resistance readings on all the connections on OFF, LOW, and HIGH. The resistance changes so that seems like the switch is alright. (pulling hair out)

Just checked in my Haynes® manual...it shows the white wire being the feed wire, getting it's power directly from the 25A fuse marked 'wipers'.

I just found the power wire. I had to trace it into the fuse box by taking the fuse block out and locating the white wire. All the letters on the fuse block are worn off so it made it difficult to find. Instead of white like it's supposed to be...It's yellow from all the years. 21 years can change white to yellowish. Thanks Pete
