Fuel Range Guage
Hey guys i was in my friends 85 vette and another friends 03 blazer and both had a fuel range gauge where the car estimates how much farther you can go on the gas in your tank. this guage fluctuates depending on speed and everything. i was wondering if it is possible to get one for my 87 z28.
anyone know how to do this?

It would be a pretty complicated swap. It runs off a serparate module. You would need at least an rpm and speed input into the module. Then you would have to calibrade the module to work for engine and vehicle combination.

this gauge on my friends blazer is in a little overhead console type of thing. its right in the area where the rolling dials are on the overhead console in my car. it shouws average economy, temp outside, range (how far before urgas tank is empty), compass, and im not sure what else but i know thats not it.
i just wonder how you could hook something up that could tell you how far until u need gas. and no not like the fuel gauge which we all know is unreliable. it cant be impossible. maybe one of the really smart guys here would want to tackle it and let me know what i have to do. just a thought. wouldnt it be nice to know how much farther you can go before u need more fuel?
