what direction does the speed signal take from VSS?
I need to know what direction the speedo signal takes from the trans on my car. Does it go from trans to ECM then ECM to gauge or trans to gauge then to ECM? I am trying to get my nrew electric speedo hooked up to my T56. I am going to disable the VSS function in the chip to make this easier but I need to know what the story is with the SIG(signal) and OUT on the back of the gauge. I take it that one of the 2 wire on the T56 VSS connector goes to the SIG and the other is grounded but what about the OUT. do I have to ground it if I no longer have the VSS function in the chip?

Vss signal
If you are using a magetic pulse, it feeds to the ECM then to the guage.
If you have the F-body trans, it has a reluctor signal and cannot be used with a 7730 or a 7727. You will have to get the Dakota Digital box then feed the signal from the trans to the DDbox then from box to the ECM then to the speedo cruise control from the ECM
