Ok I am wanting to clean up the mess the wireing harness gies my car.....especially that nice lovely harness that runs across the passenger valve cover....how would I go about doing so without distorting the signals sent form sensors? thanks!

 

Best method is to make an entirely new harness out of some new wire. Second best would probabbly be to solder all connections.

 

what gauge wire should I use?

 

Use wire gauges that are at least the same size as what was originally used for each componant. You could also use bigger wires.

The only advice i can give is to stay very organized and label everything as you go so you dont cross anywires. I know someone that tried a simialar project(with speaker wire hehe tisk tisk) and what they wound up with was a giant birds nest. Looked worse than it did to begin with.
