16197427 PCM wiring
I am retro fitting a TBI setup using a 1995 16197427 PCM. I have rewired everything and have a 99% complete harness. What I do not know what the 16197427 used as a park/neutral input or if it even used one. I am using this with a TH400 so I would like to use the park/neutral if possible. Is there a way to use the park/neutral function with this PCM?
I am going to purchase TunerCat to tune my chip and I also wondered if I can eliminate the trans. controls from the automatic trans bin file?
Also, I wanted to run a VSS. I looked for them and all I could find was a driveshaft reluctor ring type setup. I don't like the way that looks and I don't want to invest money in it. Does anyone know of an alternative for the 4 pulse per driveshaft VSS?
Thanks

Johnson, I would love to tell you what you want to know but, I nor anyone else here on the tbi board probably know the answer to your question. I do know that you will or should get more help on the DIY ECM board. What are you putting this into, an older car or truck? One thing you might could do is use a bin from a manual trans then just change the nessasary fields that would relate to an auto trans bin such as fueling, timing. Those type of areas that would be better suited for the auto and the rest would not be trying to shift the tranny for you. As fare as the vss, it looks like your going to have to bite the bullit and spend some cash or get creative and design your on converter.

if you need the 4 pulse per rev or the 2 pulse per rev VSS's, then painless wiring makes an add on unit that screws into the output of the trans, and then into your existing speedo cable. I don't know about 4 pulse per MILE though.
try this link for possible schematics which would give you VSS and P/N info(on the left side, at 'download wiring pics')

I'm sure you could probably change settings to the trans controls or turn off error codes relating to trans settings. if you are using tunercat, ask if that is included in the definition.
