The instructions say "black wire to vss ground if it's a two wire vss"... which it is. The other wire is "to the vss send wire". My wires are both the same color, does it matter which one is the ground? It's a T56 from a '96 formula.

i feel like i'm trying to defuse a bomb.. white wire or white wire??

Nevermind, the speedo doesn't work with a T56. It's too bad you can't find this $hit out before you waste 4 hours of your life installing these things. uckf summit racing and uckf nordskog performance "works with most gm, ford, and mopar vehicless-my @$$ it does- Nordskog's website doesn't have an application list for the p.o.s. and the summit sales said it should work. I'm just a little peeved, that's two diff. speedometers now, both not compatible with the t56's signal and i'm not gonna spend 90.00 for the sgi-5 box. I don't want 6 more wires running under the dash and those gps speedo's are only accurate to about 5-10mph I think.

The sport comp gauges accept the VVS signal as I was told in the thread below.

But if you don't want to spend 90 bucks, then you wouldn't want to spend more on a setup like this.

one goes to ground (either one, it doesnt matter)

the other goes to the VSS in signal.

i have yet to hear of a aftermarket speedo that doesnt accept the T56 VSS signal....

Okay I found a few things out:

The auto meter will work w/the T56 except the 200.00 price tag is more than I want to spend on a speedo.

The cyberdyne "ultragage" might work, they didn't answer my email, they don't have a website, I may call them and check for sure before I decide which way to go.

The nordskog will work with a calibration box- for a total price of 240.00 I'd rather have the auto meter for that kinda money.

Dakota digital says all of their digital speedometers will work with the T56 signal so I will probably go that route.

There is also the option of getting a modified tailhousing that has provisions for a speedometer cable drive. However it is $350. It will alow you to use your original spedometer. I'm considering a t-56 swap late summer or next winter and would get the new tailhousing.
