Distributor. 305 to 350

Im going to being installing a new engine in my car soon. I currently have an 85 305 in the car. I was wondering, can i use the distributor from the 305 and put it in the 350 engine? its an 87, 350 btw.

Thanks, any information will help.

Maybe NOT.
If the 87 has a "roller" camshaft, you need the change the distributor gear. The 85 gear will get eaten up if used with a hardened steel roller cam.

Are you re-using the 85 intake and wireing harness?
