Car: 86 T/A, 86 z28, 79 berlinetta, 69 chevelle (totally rusted)
Engine: 350's in the f-bodys. 327 in the works for the T/A, MIGHT go with a 383, none in the chevelle
Transmission: T/A has a 5-speed, z28 has a 700-r4, th-350 in the 79' (5 or 6-speed soon), and none in the chevelle
which wires go to my temp sender/gauge?
I pulled the v-6 like 2 years ago and totally forgot what all goes where. Took a few minutes but I have It all sorted out and hooked up now, and everything works *except maybe the alternator* Anyways I don't have the water temp sender hooked up, and I'm not sure what wires go to it anyways. None of my wires are cut, SO The origanal plug is still there I just need to know 3 things.
Which one is the plugin on the harness.
And I'm almost positive my temp sender is different.
Will a v-6 one (autozone???) fit my goodwrench heads?
The one wire I think may be it is a plug that has two wires going to it. It's spidered into the harness right by the oil pressure wire. If anyone has a pic of the harness plug for an 86 v-6 2.8 that'd make this reallly easy. Thanks a lot guys.

just one green wire? Does it have a plug in or is it just a little cirle that goes over a little bolt? (these are the two I know of)
Do you know where it comes out of the harness?
Will this kick my stock fan on at a certain temp?
Thanks

From: out of my mind; be back in 5 minutes....
Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
If memory serves, it came out of the main engine harness near the wiper motor; it was in a small loom with the wires for the AC clutch. A couple of different connectors were used, but they basically slid onto a stud or onto a 'T' shaped nub on the end of the sending unit.
The sending unit for the gauges won't turn on the fan. The sending switch for that connects to the harness coming in from the passenger side.
