Headlight Switch

In the process of installing my new instrument cluster I pulled the headlight **** and rod out of the switch box and now my lights do not work and I cannot get the **** and rod to stay in the switch. How can I repair?

I don't know how you removed the **** & rod assembly when you took it out. There is a release button on the bottom of the headlight switch under the dash. To re-install the **** assembly, you just have to push it in firmly and it locks in place. You may not be pushing it in far enough or the release button is messed up.
