Ignition on a switch?

I'm doing a V6 to V8 swap and I dont want to keep any of the original wiring. The gauges, igniton etc, I'm going to place on a series of toggle switches for control.

I'm not too sure what I am gonan do for the ignition. Does anyoine have a quick diagram of how that circuit would look? My problem is, I dont know how the starter works. All I know is that if you try to turn the key while it's on, it will grind the teeth on the flexplate. So, should I put it on a push button switch, or what. Also, how would I turn the ignition off once it's on?

That the problem i'm habing. Thanks.

for a starter switch you would need a momentary contact switch, one that only stays in the ON position for as long as it is held, and you would also need 3 normal on/off switches, 1 for run, 1 for acc 1, 1 for acc 2 make sure they can handle to amps too, at least 40a switces
