I just got a 1987 GTA, and there is nothing noting that it would have the Delco Loc II radio in it, since on the radio all it says is "delco". Could anyone tell me if i have the Delco Loc II radio or not, b/c i need to take out the battery.

My '87 radio is "normal." It's the top of the line model, UT4, and I'm the original owner.

So if yours is really the original radio, I'd say you have nothing to worry about.

 

Mkin is your radio locked? And you dont have the code to unlock it? I use to work for a gm dealer and have the paperwork to get the code so you can unlock it.

Thanks alot guys, I'm pretty sure my radio was not the theftlok, i just wanted to make sure...formie I'll probably be taking off the battery within a day or two to get cleaning the engine bay, so i'll let you know if I need the codes...even though i shouldn't.
