Idle speed problem
Recently my gta 87 battery was death, so i use my other car to jump it with no reactions from my battery. i´d it charge, buy now the engine just start for few seconds then the idle speed start decresing and the engine stops.
My Computer reports 32, 33 and 36 engine codes.
Does codes can be the reason for mine problem?

recently my wifes car had the same problem.....we changed out the mass air flow sensor and the maf sensor relay.replace these two ,unplug the pigtail, which is off one of your battery cables for maybe a minute ,plug it back up and you should be ready to go.

heat problem
Another doubt, when the engine started it runs ***, when it reach half of the normal temperature it stops, why.
when you say i have to change the maf air flow sensor, in the piece that is betwen the air filter and the air plenum

According to the chilton manual code 32 means-EGR system-cause)EGR solenoid should not be energized & vacum should not pass to EGR valve. The diagnostic switch should close at 2inches of vacum.Replace EGR valve if faulty.......33 means-MAF sensor-(cause)excess air flow.check terminal C on MAF,voltage should be 0.5 @idle & 4.7@W.O.T,check for open circuit, replace MAF if necessary.code 36 means-MAF burn off circuit((manual says this is for 87 to 89 MPFI years))cause-high resistance in burn off relay contacts/connections.failure of ECM to ground circuit.Poor connections at relays,MAF & ECM.(AGAIN THIS IS SUPPOSE TO FOR 87 to 89 YEARS)

Thaks for the help.
But I need to ask something else rationated with it.
Recently I bought and install, open air filter like the K&N, that could be a reason for the 33 code?
Another doubt, some moths ago a rat chew the sensor cable that is attach to the EGR diaphram, this one is screw to it, but you can screw off this sensor and then you can screw off the cable too.
This is the cable I'm talking about. The mechanic made an emergency welding to the base of the second one. I want to know first, if this is the EGR sensor that you and other mentioned, and second if that makes the 32 code.
the 36 can be solve with changing the MAF burn-off relay.
Another thing, why my 87 gta has 2 Maf power relays, the second one near the radiator and the MAF sensor.
I want to excuse my self for questioning that much, but I´m new in all this electronics matter, because i drive every day a 72 car.

What do you mean by "cable".The rubber hose or wire.Do have a pic. That could be what is causing code 32.If its a wire reconnect it.You can also test the EGR valve to make sure its working.I dont know about the MAF relays. My car isnt fuel injected.Maybr someone else knows more about them.
