The A/C doesn't work on my car. The compressor just wont start... though I think I know why. Any body else had this happen??

Your diode in the connector has become a casualty. This does happen from time to time. Go to a junkyard and get a connector and splice it in.

Don't know much about electronics, so what model diode is this? What should I ask for?

It doesn't list the type of Diode that is in any of my manuals and I don't have the parts manual at the moment. You can call the parts department of your local dealership and they should be able to give you and answer. If not, just go to a junkyard and cut the connector off one and splice it on. Make sure it has the diode in it first though.
