brake lights?

brake lights?
its time for me to get the GTA registered and licensed, but i have a hold up...
the brake lights don't work...
reverse lights work, signals work...and when i turn on the headlights the back lights come one too, but they are supposed to get brighter when i touch the brake pedal....
so all the lights work except the brake lights...they all worked when i put the car away, and now they don't. and i doubt that all 4 bulbs brake light went at the same time...
are the brake lights on a separate fuse or relay than the rest of the lights?
please help, i have to get this done before monday(today is firday late night!)
