Parking Lights staying on

I have became the owner of a 85 camaro with a 350 replacing the original 305 4bbl i have notice when i turn off the ignition that the parking lights ( the ones on the fenders and below the headlights on the front bumper and also the rear ones) will stay on i was wondering if anyone else had this problem or if anyone could give me starting places to try and figure out my problem

Thanks
Ryan

Hello Ryguy85,

They will continue to stay on as long as the light switch is turned on regardless of the position of the ignition switch. Now if they are on and the light switch is not turned on, then you have a problem. However, the way you have described it, you do not have a problem.
